PlaylistSwap

Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms govern your use of PlaylistSwap (the "Service"), operated by PlaylistSwap, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) under Belgian law, registered office Boekstraat 52 bus 201, 2610 Antwerpen, Belgium, enterprise number BE 1012.277.845 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, label or other organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

1. What PlaylistSwap does

PlaylistSwap is a business tool for Spotify playlist curators and independent labels. It lets you keep a catalog of your releases, agree on playlist swaps with other curators (each places the other's track in one or more playlists, at an agreed position, for an agreed period), add the agreed tracks to your Spotify playlists, and verify daily that placements stay in place.

PlaylistSwap is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Spotify AB. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB.

2. Who may use the Service

  • The Service is meant for professional use (curators, artists, labels, managers). You must be at least 18.
  • You sign in with your Spotify account and must own at least one Spotify playlist with 1,000 or more followers.
  • You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it. Keep your Spotify login secure.
  • The information in your profile and catalog must be accurate and must not mislead other users.

3. Access to your Spotify account

When you connect Spotify, you allow us to read your profile and playlists and to add, move and remove tracks in your playlists. We only do this to carry out swaps you have agreed to: placing the partner's track at the agreed position, moving a locked placement back to its agreed position during the daily check, and handling the track when the swap ends. You can revoke our access at any time in your Spotify account settings; active swaps can then no longer be carried out or verified.

4. Swaps between users

  • A swap is an agreement between you and the other curator. We are not a party to it. We provide the tools to agree on, carry out and monitor the swap, but we do not guarantee that the other user keeps their side.
  • Streams, followers and other figures shown in the app (including estimates and Spotify for Artists data) are indications. We do not guarantee any number of streams, followers or any other result.
  • Swaps on PlaylistSwap are track-for-track exchanges. You may not use the Service to sell or buy playlist placements for money, or to promote artificial streams, bots or any other manipulation of streaming figures.
  • You must have the rights to every track you submit. Links you add (for example private SoundCloud or Dropbox links to unreleased music) are shared with your swap partners at your own discretion.
  • You are responsible for complying with the terms of Spotify and any other platform you use together with the Service.

5. Plans and payment

  • Free: 30 days from sign-up, up to 10 swaps in total (declined or cancelled proposals do not count).
  • Pro: $18 per month, unlimited swaps. The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
  • Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • You can cancel at any time via Billing → Manage subscription. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period; after that your account returns to the limits of the free plan. Refunds are described in our refund policy.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A new price applies from your next billing period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • harass, deceive or spam other users, or contact them for purposes unrelated to the Service;
  • upload or link to content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights;
  • access the Service through automated means, scrape it, or try to break its security or limits;
  • create multiple accounts to get around the limits of the free plan.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you the chance to explain.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but it depends on third parties such as Spotify, and features that rely on their systems may change or stop working. We may change the Service and these terms. We will announce material changes to these terms at least 30 days in advance by email or in the app. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can cancel and close your account.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost streams, lost revenue, lost followers or lost data, nor for the actions of other users or of Spotify. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intent or anything that cannot be limited under law.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@playlistswap.app. Cancel any active subscription first. Ongoing swaps end when your account is closed. What happens to your data is described in our privacy policy.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the courts of the judicial district of our registered office, unless mandatory consumer protection rules give you the right to go to the courts where you live.
